The Awakening of a Sleeping Hero

The adventure begins with Link awakening after 100 years of slumber in the mysterious Shrine of Resurrection, located on the Great Plateau. A mysterious voice calls to him, handing him a Sheikah Slate—an essential artifact for navigating this new world.

Link soon meets a mysterious old man who tells him the tragic tale of Hyrule: Calamity Ganon has ravaged the kingdom, and Zelda has been keeping him at bay in the castle for a century. To leave the Great Plateau, Link must activate four shrines and gain new powers through the Sheikah Slate. In return, the old man gives him a paraglider, allowing him to explore the vast world of Hyrule freely.
