The Mystery of Hyrule Castle's Depths

The story begins with Link and Zelda exploring the underground of Hyrule Castle. Zelda explains that the miasma emanating from the depths is making many people ill, but seems to spare her and Link.

The deeper they go, the more they discover the remains of the Soneau civilization, a mysterious people from ancient Hyrule. An ancient fresco depicts the War of the Seal, a titanic battle against a forgotten enemy. Their exploration leads them to a strange sealed mummy, which suddenly awakens...

Ganondorf is reborn, unleashing destructive power that separates Link and Zelda. In the chaos, Link ends up with a strange and powerful arm, which will allow him to use new abilities.
